RAM School of Motoring – Driving Lessons in Leicester

Theory Test

Understanding the environment you are driving in is just as important as learning how to drive and operate a vehicle. Driving Theory allows you build a foundation of knowledge on the Highway Code, Traffic Signs and general driving skills and techniques. Your Theory Test will be split into two parts:

Part 1: Multiple-choice Questions

The first part will consist of 50 multiple choice questions, covering road signs, road safety, rules on the road, traffic law and basic car maintenance. To pass this part of the test at least 43 questions must be answered correctly.

Part 2: Hazard Perception

The second part is the Hazard Perception Test, which consists of identifying potential hazards in video clips featuring cars driving through various road conditions and scenarios. To pass this part of the test, a minimum of 44 points out of 75 must be scored.
